So I’m gonna try a new feature that (let’s be honest) I stole from Tim Challies over at Challies.com. The feature is that I’ll be regularly posting links to articles that I have read, teaching series I have listened to, or videos I have watched recently that stood out to me and I wanted to share. So here it goes.
Making Music Fun – This is a pretty simple site with some great resources for helping kids or beginning adults learn to read music. My wife and kids have been having fun with the printable worksheets.
First Great Awakening: America in the 1730′s to 1740′s – A very well written post about George Whitfield and his friendships with Benjamin Franklin and Jonathan Edwards. For nerds like me that love church history.
Sex Selection for Designer Children – Podcast where Albert Mohler talks about a couple in Australia who aborted twin boys because they wanted a girl. Mohler discusses the future doors that this opens and the scary reality of where America is in regards to this issue.
A Survey of Biblical Literacy – Another podcast. On this episode of White Horse Inn podcast, Michael Horton and the crew discuss results from an informal survey of basic biblical concepts taken or christian book publishing company staff; people who make a living “bringing the good news to all people”. The answers did not surprise me, yet made me very sad.
